After many visits and fantastic experiences they have announced their last day of operation is October 1st.
Incredible food and bar staff. Great beers and liquors. My only itch with this place is that the dart board in the back has all broken darts. If they want to really get more business they would buy new darts. Also played cornhole and this bozo ass kid threw some of the bean bags in the ceiling so we only had 3 instead of 4.
We decided to stop by on a Saturday evening for dinner and we were highly impressed. Parking was around the back but not difficult to get to. The atmosphere was cool and relaxed. There are not wait staff, you walk up to the counter to order your food and drinks and can start a tab at this time, then get a beeper to return when the food is ready. They had a good variety of beers to select from. While waiting for food, they had an old Nintendo game to play at the table, which was fun. We didn't have to wait long for the food though, it was done quickly. The tin can nachos were so cool. They arrive in an upside down tin can, and you slowly lift it up to pile on the plate (dinner and a show!). It was a huge serving and is enough to feed a group! They were a delicious combination and plentiful in flavor and toppings (no skimping on these). My fiance got the spicy chicken sandwich, and he said that it was the perfect amount of spice counteracted with blue cheese. The fries were nice and soft in the middle and fried perfectly. I got the harvest burger, and it was absolutely amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection (medium) and was juicy. The sweet apple and apple butter paired deliciously with the meaty burger. I got tots with the burger, which were crispy and a great combo with the burger. The meal was decently priced for the portions provided. My only regret is that it took us too long to try out Tattered Flag. Highly recommend!
Tattered Flag is more than meets the eye. The brewery/distillery/eatery is very casual. Food and drinks need to be ordered at the bar. For food orders, they give you a buzzer. When your food is ready, you pick it up at the kitchen window. Waters are self-served from a water dispenser. During a work trip, I enjoyed a delicious dinner here with a friend. I had a glass of the Raz-Cherry Cheesecake beer, a fruity, sour beer that was pretty good. For food, I had the jerked shrimp tacos which exceeded expectations. As you can already tell from the name, Tattered Flag doesn't only produce beers. They also make seltzers and spirits as well. I knew I wanted to buy a bottle of something home, but didn't know what, so I asked for some recommendations. Both bartenders I asked recommended the Peach Bourbon, which happened to be sold out. Since the Peach Bourbon was so good, I thought the regular Bourbon must good too, and the bartender confirmed, so I bought it. That one bottle of bourbon rang in at $60, which surprised me. WOW I wasn't expecting it to cost THAT much! Though I have to say, just by itself, this bourbon is the smoothest, easiest to drink bourbon I've ever had. It's been about 2 weeks, and we're through with half the bottle. I can't imagine how good the Peach one is, but I want one badly. Tattered Flag lets you mix and match beers if you want to buy a 4-pack, but also don't want to commit to one flavor of beer. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. We were one of the last people at Tattered Flag that night but did not feel rushed at any point.
Fantastic place and great food. The service was amazing and I am so glad we made it here to see the ambiance before it closed.
